Electric bike has now been renamed “Micro electric scooter” and will be included under the Compulsory Auto liability Insurance.
Motorist will be required to register a license plate and have proof of insurance to be on the road.
Riding without having Compulsory Auto Liability Insurance can be fined from NT$750 to NT$1500.
Please remember to have your “Micro Electric Scooter” registered and insured.
